Is there an outbreak of secular child molesters? The Pope Bashes Atheists in the UK, Compares Them to Nazis

As if we didn’t need another reason to criticize either the Catholic Church or former Nazi Youth member, Pope Benedict XVI.
While on his first state visit to England, and the first papal visit to the United Kingdom in 28 years, Pope Benedict’s address didn’t contain a single reference to the Vatican’s massive conspiracy to cover-up hundreds of counts of alleged sexual abuse from within its ranks. Instead the pontiff focused on bashing secularism in a very secular nation.
On the Subject of Nazis
After a few words praising the monarchy and key political figures, past and present, the Pope began to pivot towards the true message of his address, defeating atheism as the world defeated Nazis.
“Even in our own lifetime, we can recall how Britain and her leaders stood against a Nazi tyranny that wished to eradicate God from society…”
It is true that Winston Churchill and the British people were a key force that prevented Adolph Hitler from expanding further into the Western world, without whom, the Nazi forces may have never been stopped.
However, one is left to wonder; where was the Catholic Church during this time of great oppression and God-eradication?
History provides the answer, clearly, which is this: The Vatican was in league with Hitler and the Nazi Party. The evidence is overwhelming.
Article 16 of the Reichskonkordat, a 1933 treaty between Germany and the Holy See, orders German Bishops to swear an oath of loyalty to the Third Reich, and to “prevent any harm that could threaten it.”
Joseph Ratzinger, now know as Pope Benedict XVI, in 2009 lifted the excommunication of Bishop Richard Williamson that was enforced by John Paul II. On the same day, Williamson made this comment in an interview on Swedish television:
“I believe there were no gas chambers. I think that two to three hundred thousand Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps but none of them by gas chambers.”
Indeed, the Vatican has a reputation similar to Iran when it comes to Holocaust denial, because they were accessories to the crime.
Even at the urging of a few of his own bishops and Harry S. Truman, Pope Pius XII, who is sometimes referred to as Hitler’s Pope, did nothing to condemn the deportation of Jews from Spain, Slovakia, and other places to the now infamous death camps.
The Christianity of Hitler
What of Hitler’s godlessness? Was he an atheist? The religious establishment likes to pretend he was, to assure the world that the greatest source of evil in the twenty century was not Christian; just like how they love to claim that some of the greatest minds, such as Albert Einstein, were.
In reality, Hitler was no more atheist than Einstein was a believer in God (and, Einstein wasn’t, for the record).
Raised as a devout Catholic, Hitler believed that he was doing God’s work by eliminating the horrible Jews, and without the Vatican to say he was wrong, why would he doubt it?
“I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord…” - Mein Kampf
It is established that the Catholic Church supported Nazis, and that Hitler was Christian in league with the Catholic Church.
On Nazi’s and Atheism
After Pope Benedict praised the British people for doing what the Vatican failed to do, defending the world from the Nazis, he went on to liken modern secularists and atheists to Adolph Hitler.
“As we reflect on the sobering lessons of the atheist extremism of the twentieth century, let us never forget how the exclusion of God, religion and virtue from public life leads ultimately to a truncated vision of man and of society…”
The very society he praised for standing up to Nazi Germany is among the most non-religion societies in Western civilization.
In the UK only 33% of people consider themselves to be religious, while 82% believe that religion is divisive. Only 57% identify themselves as Christians, and just ten percent of those actually go to church. In a 1999 survey over 390,000 Britons declared their religion to be “Jedi Knight.” That’s how seriously some people take their faith.
Winston Churchill, the man who led Great Britain through World War II, and helped to defeat both the Italians and the Nazis, was himself a secular man, holding the myths and fables of Christianity in no high regard.
It wasn’t the Holy See that stood against Nazi horde and the horrors they committed, it was the British, the French, the Americans, the Soviets, and the entire free world.
Why is Benedict Attacking Atheists?
With all of the venom directed towards atheists, one is left to wonder, what horrors are they committing?
Is there some outbreak of atheist child molesters that has been going unchecked for decades? Are atheists acting to prevent HIV/AIDS infected Africans from using condoms? Is it atheists who compare scientists who perform embryonic stem cell research to find cures to debilitating diseases Nazis? Are Atheists against the principals of freedom of religion, or against full equal rights for homosexuals? Was it atheists who harbored Nazi war criminals after WWII?
The answer to each of these questions is “no.” The offending party in each case is, of course, the Catholic Church. Most secularists are humanist in nature, and promote civil rights amongst all people, including the right to free worship for those who do.
While Benedict asserts that it’s England’s “Christian foundation that underpins its freedoms,” nothing could be further from the truth. It’s their rejection of religious dogma and their separation of church from state which have led them to be one of the most just and fair examples of Western society in the modern world.
Thomas Jefferson said it best:
“History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance of which their civil as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purposes.”
Just ask the millions of Jews murdered during the Holocaust who cried out for help and received nothing from the Catholic Church but a deaf ear and a shut eye. They know that Jefferson was right, and so should anyone who heard or read the Pope’s speech.
